The Queen’s Award

On Monday 27th September 2021, Gospel Temple Apostolic Church was presented with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, at Westminster Abbey, for the charitable work that it does at the Tottenham Food Hub, especially during Covid-19 pandemic during 2020.

This award means a lot to us because it recognises at a national level what we do in the local community. We have received local, borough and county-wide recognition, but we have never received national recognition until now. We are honoured to be part of a group of organisations up and down the UK, dedicated to help, care for and uplift others in need through selfless acts of kindness, compassion and love, especially during the pandemic.

Our pastoral approach to community care has built emotional bonds through sharing new experiences together. This is what has led to us being conferred with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.
